AFTER INSTALLATION MAINTAINING YOUR FLOORS
The best way to maintain your carpet is regular vacuuming. Choosing the correct vacuum is important. Look at these features:
With the softer longer fibers on the market you want to ensure proper air flow, keep space between your carpet and the vacuum, if it is too close, it may cause the carpet to slightly lift from tile padding potentially leading to buckling of the carpet.
Adjustable Beater Bar
If the brush Is too low It can cause a fuzzy appearance to the carpet. Look for options to turn the beater bar off.
The larger wheels can make it easier to push the vacuum through the longer, denser Carpets.
Hardwood and Laminate
Position walk off mats at outside entrance to lessen the tracked-in dirt and moisture. Place felt pads on the bottoms of all furniture to prevent scratches. Check and replace any pads that may have trapped dirt or become worn on a regular basis. On a weekly or biweekly basis, vacuum with a floor brush attachment or broom. Use a soft bristle so as not to scratch the floor. Moisture is your laminate and hardwoods worst enemy when cleaning use little water and follow up with a dry cloth to dry after you mop. Use a cleaning product specifically manufactured for hardwood or laminate. Select a ph neutral product.
